Austria Information

Officially known as the Republic of Austria, it is bordered by Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The capital city is Vienna. Austria has been a member of the United Nations since 1955 and joined the European Union in 1995.

Horse Racing in Austria

Austria has one horse racing track. Named Magna Racino, it opened for business on April 4th, 2004. Located 20 miles south of Vienna, it is open for business from 4pm until midnight on Monday thru Friday and 11am until midnight on Saturday and Sunday. Races are held on Thursdays and Sundays in April thru November. 150 gaming machines are also available on the premises, as are a race book and sports book. Their website is www.magnaracino.at.
