More Women Playing Online Roulette in the Casino

According to the news headlines of
online gambling portal, Gaming Supermarket, more women
are starting to play roulette at online casinos. Having
"cut their teeth" at softer games like online bingo, a
greater ratio of women are apparently venturing into the
online casinos. And not that there weren't any women
gamblers in the online casino to begin with, for it's
the ladies who make up the majority of slots players
according to recent polling stats.
The shift is that more women are playing table games,
which have traditionally been more popular with men,
both in the brick 'n mortar and online casinos. Online
roulette, specifically, has been getting more attention
from women likely because of its similarities with
bingo. Both games are played with numbered boards,
albeit a card is used in bingo, while the gist of both
is that randomly drawn numbers determine the outcome of
the game. Roulette uses a spinning wheel and metal ball,
while bingo uses plastic balls and hand-spun device.
Of course, in the online world, there are neither
metal balls nor plastic balls. Everything is virtual,
which brings up another factor likely contributing to
online roulette's popularity with women gamblers. Unlike
the land-based casino, where other players and the
dealer often add heightened pressure to hurry up and
make a bet, online roulette allows bettors to take as
much time as they need in between wagers.
Considering there are plenty of bets to choose from -
ranging in odds from even bets to 35 to 1, there is
certainly a need for considering which bets are the most
advantageous, not to mention best suited to your
bankroll. Again, like online bingo, online roulette
allows players to make lower stakes, thus bringing more
playing time in the long run.
When all is said and done, online roulette actually
provides more strategic decision making than internet
bingo, which is purely a luck-of-the-draw game. Roulette
requires more thought out decisions that can help
players get a lower Casinos edge than many other games -
especially slots. To learn more about this historical
game and where you play it online, visit the OCS
