You may recall a previous news article published here
back in August regarding litigation brought upon Swedish
online gambling software developer, Boss Media, by Poker
Trillion. Well, now it appears that Poker Trillion has
withdrawn it's claims against Boss. In fact, Trillion
even posted a short message on their website, stating
that all claims have indeed been withdrawn and that
legal dispute has ende.
Upon first glance, one might think that Poker
Trillion pulled their case because they did not have
anything substantial to support their accusations.
However, Poker Trillion has apparently been thus been
quite successful in their bid to make Boss Media pay up,
so to speak. Surprisingly to many, Poker Trillion was
able to secure a judgment from the First hall Civil
Court, Malta that would effectively allow Malta to seize
Boss Media's gaming servers and effectively take down
their budding online poker network and online casino
licensees.
When that decision was made last month, Boss Media
was quick to offer a counterattack, stating that Poker
Trillion was merely acting out of spite because they had
been expelled from Boss Media's poker network for rake
back violations. Furthermore, Boss Media ensured that
despite the threats of a fund seizure, all player
account balances were safeguarded and guaranteed.
It's a mysterious case to say the least. Poker
Trillion had repeatedly tried to cause a panic if you
will, by issuing a press release stating Boss Media's
funds had indeed been seized already, when this wasn't
the case. Certainly there was some bad blood between the
two companies. However, the sudden pulling of the court
case bespeaks of everything now being honky dory. No
statement was issued by Boss Media nor Poker Trillion
explaining the reasons for the dismissal, which makes
you wonder whether an outside deal was struck between
the two.
