There's no denying
the fact that the game of roulette can deliver a
relatively low House Edge while still paying out some
big numbers. Being one of the most popular table games
in Europe, roulette has established itself as a hallmark
casino game found in both brick 'n mortar and online
casinos. Nowadays, there are several variations of
roulette, including American, European and French, not
to mention progressive jackpot roulette games.
Speaking of the
progressive sort, one of the most popular online
progressive roulette games, Roulette Royale, recently
paid out a hefty $1.33 million to a lucky player
residing at All Jackpots Casino, fittingly enough.
According to a press release, Jackpot Factory's VP of
Player Affairs, David Brickman, said it is the largest
jackpot to date paid out by Microgaming's progressive
roulette game.
The lucky player
(screen name AlexandrosP) said he couldn't believe his
eyes when the jackpot lit up, adding that he plans to
invest some of the winnings, buy a new car, do some
traveling and spend more time on his favorite hobbies.
Alexandros had been a member at All Jackpots for only
eleven days before hitting the max progressive at
Roulette Royale.
As mentioned,
Roulette Royale is tied into Microgaming Software's
large progressive network. In order to win the jackpot,
a player must hit the same number five consecutive
times. Admittedly, this is a difficult feat to
accomplish and obviously calls for some great luck.
However, as this recent win attests, luck is waiting to
happen to anybody who is in the game.
Unfortunately, All
Jackpots (and all Microgaming online casinos for that
matter) is no longer open to U.S. residents. As of less
than a month ago, Microgaming backed out of the U.S.
facing online gambling industry due to what many are
calling a "blackmailing" in the State of Kentucky. The
only question now is: Just how much of that Roulette
Royale progressive jackpot was contributed to by U.S.
players?
