IGT Gaming Restructures
Online Mobile Gaming Division

International Game Technology, also known as IGT, has
announced it will be restructuring the company's UK
subsidiary division - namely Wager Works software - as a
result of IGT Gaming's recent acquisition of the
Million-2-1 mobile gaming software developer. The news
suggests that IGT is moving swiftly to tap further into
the UK facing mobile online gaming sector, as well as
give Wager Works Software a larger role in the company's
R&D.
Specifically, Wager Works will be taking over IGT's
mobile online gaming operations using Million-2-1's
innovative platform, as well as the sales and
distribution of casino game content developed by IGT
Gaming subsidiary, Barcrest Group. This, in turn, would
entail developing several of Barcrest's game titles into
online casino counterparts - all of which will be
available as download upgrades at Wager Works online
casinos licensees, like the popular Virgin Casino.
In the meantime, IGT says that Million-2-1 will
continue developing mobile gaming solutions for
land-based casinos and media organizations with the hope
of capitalizing on new revenue sources such as lotteries
and mobile marketing. In short, as IGT's United Kingdom
VP, Robert White, said in a press release, the new
restructuring streamlines the company's sales and
distribution process, and will enable IGT to continue
offering "great casino game content across multiple
channels".
There certainly is no denying the pioneering role of
IGT Gaming in the land-based casino gambling industry.
With the company's latest acquisitions, including a
successful run thus far with Wager Works Software, IGT
has indeed established itself as a world leader in
gaming content services. For more information, please
