Will Hill to Upgrade
Online Sportsbook With Orbis

One of the most
recognizable and respected names in the UK gambling
scene, Will Hill, has made an announcement they are
making plans to integrate new sports betting software
with their all-in-one online gambling site. In fact, the
company has stated they are aiming to increase gross win
from sports betting activities by 50%.
The new software
platform, which is being developed by UK-based Orbis, is
expected to launch on November 27, 2008, at which time
Will Hill foresees an immediate rise in gross win by
5-10%. Thanks to Orbis' broad reach within the UK facing
online sports betting market, these expectations are
certainly attainable.
Orbis has been in
business since the early days of online casino gambling
(mid-nineties), and has since developed a comprehensive
gaming platform, offering sports betting, poker, casino
games, fixed odds games and exchange betting. Orbis
powers several well known UK online betting sites,
including Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler, Blue Square and
more. They have also teamed with Wager Works Software,
which powers Virgin Casino and is fast becoming one of
the leading UK facing online casino software licensors
in business.
As for Will Hill,
they too offer a comprehensive online betting platform,
complete with a poker room, online casino (powered by
Cryptologic), virtual games, scratch-off tickets, and
yes, sports betting. Only come November 27, Will Hill's
sports betting services are going to another level.
As mentioned, Will
Hill is seeking to raise it's gross win from online
revenue, which currently accounts for approximately 20%
of the land-based giants revenue. Newly appointed Will
Hill CEO, Ralph Topping, is on record saying that for
too long Will Hill has regarded themselves as bookmakers
for the land-based sports betting industry. However, now
that the company has reversed its losses partly due to a
failed attempt at upgrading their online betting
platform last year, not to mention the fact they are now
seeing double-digit growth in a gaming industry ripe for
big-business consolidations, Will Hill is ready to take
their online sports betting operation into newly
chartered territory.
