Microgaming powered online poker
rooms and their players will have something to look forward to in the new year.
While more free cash bonuses, tournaments and guaranteed prize pools certainly
is music to any poker players ears, this New Year's surprise will be in the form
of a highly anticipated online poker software upgrade. Microgaming is currently
holding the reigns on a Beta version of this new software, which they are
planning to unveil at the International Casino Exhibition in late January.
In a recent press release,
Microgaming CEO, Roger Raatgever, prepped online casino operators and players
with an update on the promised software upgrade. Raatgever placed emphasis on
the fact that player feedback has essential to developing their latest
innovative online gaming product. Catering to both veteran poker players and
newbies, Microgaming says the tables in their new software are faster and more
accessible.
Although much more is to be
unveiled at the International Casino Exhibition, the upgrade so far consists of
new table resizing options, advanced multi-table capabilities, avatar
customization, private/social network chatting, and user-friendly features like
"best hand", "view chat", "player calendar" and "pop-up hand history".
With the promise that
Microgaming will be unveiling the beta version of their new software at ICE
2008, it is imminent players will get a chance to put the upgrade to the test
very early in 2008. Unlike your typical online casino upgrade, in which a
handful of new games are simply added to the software portfolio, Microgaming's
poker software upgrade will affect the entire playing experience.
