Another poker show is on its way. With Face the Ace facing inevitable cancellation, it seems network execs are still keen on tapping the online casino market. Titled: “The PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge,” the show hits the air on FOX on October 11.

PokerStars online casino is extending the opportunity to all of its American and Canadian online players to be a part of the show. Players who qualify at their online casino will have the chance to square off on national television against a lineup of celebrity players and Team PokerStars Pros, all with the hope of winning a seat at the December 21 grand finale where they will play for $1 million.

To qualify for the show, players are encouraged to go to the PokerStars online casino and participate in their twice daily free rolls at 8 and 11pm ET from now through November 25. Players who finish in the top ten online will be asked to create a two-minute audition tape about why PokerStars should choose them to be a contestant.

Players who pass the online casino free rolls and the audition tape process will face off on national television against three celebrity and Team PokerStars Pro adversaries in best of three, No-Limit Hold'em matches.

The players will be coached by controversial poker pro Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu and eventually play him for a seat in the grand finale. The show begins filming on September 30 and premiers on October 11 at 4pm ET.
