Microgaming to Launch New 5 Reel Slot

Wednesday, September 17th, 2014

Microgaming powered online casinos have a new online slot to look forward to as early as Oct 5th. The new game, Red Hot Devil, is a video slot with 5 reels and 25 different pay lines. The Red Hot Devil slot boasts the latest content rich technology fans of this software platform are accustomed to, yet unlike many other types of themes we see online at casinos, this one boasts one sexy female devil.

When playing this game, which happens to be launching at Platinum Play on the 5th, and other various Microgaming casinos such as Crazy Vegas, Go Wild, and Jackpot City, players will be paid for adjacent symbol combos on a pay line. These wins will be multiplied by the wager amount per line. The scatter symbol stands-in for all of this slot’s symbols, and wins from the scatter symbol are multiplied by the total wager placed and are supplemental to pay line wins. During the Red Hot Multiplier Free Spin Round, the scatter symbol will only show on reels 1 and 5. The same concept applies in the Red Hot Wild Reels feature.

As most video slots do, Microgaming’s new Red Hot Devil also features a Wild Symbol which stands-in for all the game’s symbols (except the scatter symbol). Unlike the Free Spin Round’s scatter symbol that appears on lines 1 and 5, this Wild Symbol shows on lines 2, 3 and 4.

During the Free Spins with Red Hot Multiplier feature, players will be given 10 free spins starting at a1x multiplier level that will then increase in value between 2-10x. The number of Scatter Symbols shown will determine the x value. During this feature, all wins in will be multiplied by the active multiplier, too.

During the free spins feature of the new Red Hot Devil slot, players will also be given 10 free spins starting at a 1x multiplier level that will then randomly turn wild each spin when on reel 2, 3 or 4. When the scatter symbol appears on reel 1 or 5, that whole reel turns wild in value. Should a player get lucky enough to see the Scatter Symbol on both lines 1 and 5, the Free Spins feature will be triggered yet again to give another 10 free spins to the player.

The Pick Until Pop style Wheel of Fire feature that is included with this new Microgaming slot obliges the player to choose from 10 different orbs of fire, each of which embodies a special offer until they pick unsuccessfully.

Many of the casinos we have rated and reviewed do feature Microgaming technology, but most of them do not accept US players. Lastly, if you do chose to accept a deposit match style bonus to play this new slot at any online gambling casino, be aware of wagering requirements, as always.

Microgaming’s Most Anticipated Online Casino Slot Machine to be Released Next Week

Lord of the Rings Online Casino Slots

Err, and you thought Lord of the Rings was a just a pretentious jewelry store?

It’s been a long time coming, and by God, I hope it’s worth the wait. All things considered, it should be. What I am referring to is very likely the most anticipated online casino game release in the short but loaded history of online gambling. There have been some great online slot machines to come out over the years, many of which were branded off of movies, comic book characters, even board games. And while the game I am referring to (hold onto your britches, I’ll tell you what it is in just a second!) is also based off a movie, this isn’t just any movie, my friends.

This is one of the most popular, award-winning film trilogies of all time, not to mention published novels. J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” is no doubt a title you’ve heard before, let alone one you’ve likely watched and enjoyed on the movie screen or in your home. And now, thanks to the folks at Microgaming Software, you will be able to play an online casino slot themed around Tolkien’s fantasy world – that is, of course, unless you reside in the U.S. (where Microgaming has closed its doors). Hey, I’m just saying. If it pisses you off enough, write your local Congressional representatives and voice your support for the Internet Gambling Regulation Enforcement and Consumer Protection Act.

Anyways, for just about everybody else out there, the first slot in the trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring”, will be available at the top Microgaming online casinos sometime next week. With no exact date set just yet, one can only assume it’s all about stirring up more anticipation and generating curious onlooker traffic to Microgaming’s most favored online casinos all set to integrate the Lord of the Rings slot with their current portfolio of 300+ casino games.

That said, if you want our advice, we highly recommend Platinum Play, River Nile, All Slots, All Jackpots and Jackpot City Casino. These eCOGRA approved online casinos have been around for several years, and have earned an outstanding track record with players. Furthermore, they have some great welcome bonus and ongoing deposit bonus offers available, including Platinum Play’s $1,500 Free Play Bonus. Play with $1,500 in free credits over a 24-hour timeframe and keep up to $100 Free in bonus money with a $20 deposit. Alternatively, claim a 100% Match Bonus up to $200 Free – even after claiming the free-play bonus.

Now, before I get sidetracked again, let me finish up by saying that Microgaming is also in the works to develop the second and third addition to the Lord of the Rings trilogy: “The Two Towers” and “The Return of the King”, based on a 2009 licensing agreement with Warner Brothers Digital Distribution. All three casino slots will feature actual footage from the films, including the attack at Weathertop, the Mines of Moria and the woods of Middle Earth from “The Fellowship of the Ring”. Based on early reviews from affiliates and online casino operators, the new Lord of the Rings slot machine takes online slot play and entertainment to a new level. Microgaming has certainly taken their time developing the new game, which apparently, has paid off.

New Online Casino Games:Microgaming June 2010 Launch:Soccer Safari Slot Machine

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

Now that's what I call a Soccer Safari. Look out World Cup 2010!

Now that's what I call a Soccer Safari. Look out World Cup 2010!

White label internet betting software developer, Microgaming, is starting the month of June off with a new release of online casino games, including two new video slots and a new Gold Series table game. The most timely of the bunch debuts just prior to the start of the 2010 World Cup being held in South Africa. Called “Soccer Safari”, this 5-reel, 30-payline multi-feature video slot is like a cross between Microgaming’s popular safari-themed Mega Moolah and the game of soccer.

Offering 25,000 in the base game, over twice as much with free spins and 12,000 in the bonus round, “Soccer Safari” is a pretty loaded slot machine. There are plenty of scatters, wilds (including an expanding wild), free spins and a bonuses, including a Gamble Feature to obtain quadruple winnings.

The primary wild symbol is the Soccer Safari logo, while the Zebra serves as an expanding wild, 1x multiplier and free spins trigger when it comes up on reels 1 and 5. In free spins mode, the Zebra will expand the 1st and 5th reel, which serve as held wild symbols, while the reverse takes place for the sixth free spin (reels 2 thru 4 are held, 1 & 5 are re-spun).

To get into the bonus round at “Soccer Safari”, it’s all about winning the match. In other words, it’s the Trophy symbols that will give you the opportunity to win up to 50x winnings. Specifically, it takes three or more Trophy scatter symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger the “Go for Goal” bonus round. Once inside, choose a team, then choose a player to take the penalty kick, which if getting passed the keeper, will award a 10x-50x multiplier. Nobody goes home empty-handed in the bonus round – even a missed penalty kick will deliver a 5x multiplier.

That said, if you would like to increase your own chances of not going home empty handed, it is advisable to take advantage of one of the many bonus offers available at Microgaming online casinos (not open to U.S. residents).

Roxy Palace Casino Hosting $50K Bonus Slots Magic; Thunderstruck II Launched

The One and Only Roxy Palace Casino

The One and Only Roxy Palace Casino

Roxy Palace Casino has long been known for offering one of the longest running slots tournament lineups of any online casino in business today. In fact, it was Roxy Palace where the whole idea of guaranteed slots tournaments in the thousands of dollars pretty much started.

Needless to say, these “glory days” took place before the passing of the U.S. online gambling ban, aka UIGEA. However, when Microgaming (and consequently, Roxy Palace) eventually followed suit of Playtech and Cryptologic, and dropped out of the U.S. market, the slots tournaments were able to keep on keeping on. That’s primarily because Roxy Palace had successfully diversified its clientele to include online gamblers from Europe, Canada and South Africa.

To this day, Roxy Palace hosts the “Bonus Slots Magic” promotion tournament, which awards a cash prize to every qualifying player (deposit at least $100 during event hours). The top wagering players will share the grand prize, while the top three winners in each competition will qualify to participate in the bonus stage for the month and win a share of an additional $4,000 in free bonus cash.

The other popular free promotion at Roxy Palace is “2X”, which is simply double comp points on select online casino games. During a specified time frame (the next one being 1:00 May 11 through 11:59 May 13 Casino Time), players will earn twice the amount of comp points on wagers made on select games. These normally include a handful of online slots and table games. For the aforementioned timeframe, this includes Atlantic City Blackjack, Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker, French Roulette and Joker Poker video poker, while eligible slots include Adventure Palace, Hellboy, Pure Platinum, Alaskan Fishing and Summertime.

Then again, with the recent release of the highly anticipated Thunderstruck 2 video slot, divvying out on other games may not be as feasible as usual. 🙂 Be sure to check out Thunderstruck 2 – it offers 243 different ways to win, and one of the most comprehensive bonus levels of any slot out there. For more information, read the OCS Roxy Palace Casino Review. Current progressive jackpot totals are hovering at $4.3 million, and average payouts are above 96%.

King Cashalot Steals From the Rich and Gives to the Poor!

King Cashalot Steals From the Rich, Gives to the Poor!

King Cashalot Steals From the Rich, Gives to the Poor!

Microgaming Software’s King Cashalot Video Slot is at it again. Following the half-a-million jackpot win hit in February of this year, the jolly old King has decided to bestow his rod of good fortune on another lucky online gambler. King Cashalot has apparently been taxing the crap out of his kingdom, ’cause this time around, he gave away a $700,000 jackpot to a yet-to-be-identified player. Okay, it was $679,791 to be exact. What’s the difference when it’s that much already, right?

Being that it was a progressive jackpot (everybody’s favorite kind of jackpot), the exact location of the winning mouse click, nor the online casino responsible for hosting said winning mouse click still isn’t known. Considering there are well over 100 Microgaming online casinos synced up with Microgaming’s wide area jackpot network, it’s anybody’s guess where the win went down (although I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of the online casinos listed on the OCS Microgaming Casinos page).

This latest win is a good sign for King Cashalot, which went for over six months not paying out a max progressive jackpot before February’s $500K win. The amount itself is not that surprising, considering the default jackpot for King Cashalot is $100,000 and average jackpot win is $500,000. Actually, with the $679K win, the average just went up a little more. You do the math – the size of those numbers alone is suffice for me to give King Cashalot another chance. If you want more info on the game specs, see the OCS King Cashalot Slot review.

Now, if you happen to be from the United States, sorry but King Cashalot is not for you. You probably already know that by now. Microgaming, which the US Department of Justice has more scared than a ten year old being forced to watch the original “Exorcist” (“Poltergeist” will also suffice), won’t even let U.S. residents visit their main non-wagering website. Granted, Microgaming didn’t jump out of the U.S. market as fast as Cryptologic and Playtech, but I digress (Can you tell I miss my Microgaming?).

Otherwise, be on the lookout for another big win on the King Cashalot progressive video slot. I’m not going to bet on it, but you know what they say – Big wins often come in pairs.

Major Millions Online Casino Slot Pays Out $310K+ Progressive Jackpot This Week

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

Although there hasn’t been any online casino millionaires this week, it has been reported that Microgaming Software’s Major Millions progressive video slot dished out a massive $310,000 jackpot to a lucky player on Tuesday. There’s no word just yet on which of Microgaming’s 120+ online casinos hosted the win, nor the name and country of residence of the lucky player; However, it is certainly clear that Major Millions continues to be a lucrative and popular progressive slot machine.

The last major jackpot win on Major Millions (pun intended) was hit less than a month ago in February for nearly $300,000. Prior to this, the largest win was worth approximately $563,000, and the average jackpot win was averaged at $366,000. If you are wondering if Major Millions has ever dished out millions in winnings to a single player, the answer is yes. In 2002, Major Millions set the world record (at the time) for the largest jackpot ever won at an online casino. It was valued at $1.5 million.

Most online gamblers will agree that Major Millions seems to be picking up, or should I say, loosening up, thus far in 2010. Of course, another million dollar plus win would help Major Millions take back the throne for Microgaming’s most popular progressive jackpot slot, which most likely belongs to …………. these days. Either way, Microgaming casinos are doing fine for themselves, even with a non-USA policy in effect.

Million Dollar Mega Moolah Online Slot Pays out Big at Microgaming Casino

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

megamoolah_reelsMicrogaming Software’s Mega Moolah progressive slot has apparently dished out a rather large-sized win earlier today ($27,626) according to online gambling news portals. But then again, “large-sized jackpots” are pretty much the norm with Mega Moolah. Quite possibly Microgaming’s most popular online casino slot machine, there’s no doubt Mega Moolah lives up to it’s name, having dished out one of the largest millionaire jackpots in the history of online gambling. It was back in April of 2008 when Mega Moolah paid out a massive $5.5 million jackpot.

The $27K+ win today followed a $13,000 jackpot win earlier in the week, and was the largest win since last month’s impressive $45K+ win. The month prior was home to a $66,000 jackpot win.

megamoolah_progressivepayoutIn other words, expect Mega Moolah to pay out multi-thousand jackpots each month and accumulated monthly winnings in the hundreds of thousands.

What makes Mega Moolah popular with a wide range of bankrolls is the fact that it offers a four-tier progressive jackpot. The mini default jackpot starts off at $10, while the minor default jackpot kicks in at $100. The Major jackpot takes a huge leap from the minor, starting off at $10,000, while the default Mega progressive jackpot takes the cake at $1 Million. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why Mega Moolah pays out such hefty numbers. And with a coin range from 0.01 to 0.05 and up to five coins per payline, it doesn’t take a huge bankroll to bet on all paylines, which is required to win the progressive jackpot.

megamoolah_freespinswildIn terms of playability, there are 5 reels, 25 paylines, and a Wheel of Fortune style bonus feature offering a top prize of at least $1 million. The wild, which doubles all winnings on substitutes (except for the Scatter), is the Lion symbol, while the Scatter itself (the weird looking, purple-faced creature) triggers 15 free spins with retriggers and 3x winnings throughout. Oh, and in case you are wondering, Mega Moolah is an African safari themed slot reminiscent of the Lion King. True to Microgaming, the graphics and sounds are stellar, making Mega Moolah just as entertaining as it is loaded.

Online Casino Slots Jackpots Payout Huge With Microgaming Today

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Although predicting when an online casino progressive jackpot is going to hit is a difficult thing to do (some will even say blind chance), it is a widely believed that the longer a jackpot goes without paying out big, the sooner the day of reckoning will come. Sounds like a pretty universal law, if you ask me. You  know, the more you put into something, the more you get out of it? Only in the case of online gambling, it’s not always the player who spends the most who wins the most, which I suppose is like life as well!

Nonetheless, the larger a jackpot gets, the more action it gets, in turn causing it to grow even more, and consequently, increasing the chances of a big win (man, I don’t think I’ve ever used that many commas in one sentence – I need a drink now). It’s also very interesting to note that oftentimes when one online casino jackpot breaks the bank, several others soon follow. It’s as if everybody gets “jackpot fever”, which like any fever, can spread really fast. And since this is the World Wide Web, aka “information highway” we’re talking about, things spread faster than a venereal disease in a Las Vegas brothel – okay, maybe not the best analogy, but you get my point!

Case in point of all this jackpot fever, or better, jackpot madness (referring to the Microgaming’s Jackpot Madness online casino jackpot network), was a recent string of big wins this weekend. Actually, it has all taken place today, which for anyone reading this right now, it’s still not too late to buy your lover some chocolates and flowers. Or, if you happen to be one of the big winners today, perhaps a new car or diamond earrings will suffice.

Taking the first place prize today was a huge jackpot win on the popular King Cashalot video slot worth a whopping $475,208. Let’s just call it half-a-million dollars, shall we? This was followed by a $100K win on Treasure Nile, while two other slots – Lotsa Loot and Mega Moolah – each paid off jackpot wins as well. Being that all of the jackpots were progressive, it has not yet been announced which Microgaming powered online casinos hosted the jackpots.

Gettin' Medieval with Microgaming's King Cashalot Casino Slot

Gettin' Medieval with Microgaming's King Cashalot Casino Slot

Following the recent half-a-million dollar jackpot win on Microgaming’s King Cashalot progressive video slot, I thought it fitting to give the good King Cashalot himself a closer look and all-out review. So, like I said, King Cashalot is Microgaming Software’s doing, and in fact, is one of Microgaming’s oldest progressive jackpot games. Launched in 2004/2005, King Cashalot has paid out some big wins over the years. The default jackpot is $100,000, and only gets bigger from there. It is not uncommon for the accumulated progressive jackpot to exceed $1 million. In fact, the largest win to date is $1.2 million and average jackpot win is $500,000.

As with all progressive slots, in order to be eligible for the big jackpot, a player must wager on on all paylines. Being that there are nine paylines, up to five coins per payline and a fixed coin value of $0.05, a single coin bet would cost just $0.45, while the max $2.25 wager, which is not bad at all for a modest sized bankroll, will get you even more winnings in pursuit of the big jackpot.

King Cashalot is a five reel slot themed after all the best that Medieval Times had to offer. If you consider torture, the Plague and having to wear burlap the best things to come from Medieval Times, well then, I’m sorry to say that King Cashalot will disappoint you. On the contrary, I’m talking about chivalry, feasts, sexy maidens and friendly dragons And as such, you get just that from the reel symbols. The jovial King himself is the wild and multiplier, the Jester is the Scatter, the Dragon serves as the bonus trigger, while various food items, and of course, the Queen and Maiden round out the list of colorful and sharp symbols.

King Cashalot Online Casino Slot Payout Table

King Cashalot Online Casino Slot Payout Table

All winning combinations with a single King serving as a wild will double payouts, while multiple Kings create winning combinations of their own. Five Kings is the ultimate, paying 15,000 credits on a single enabled payline and the maximum progressive jackpot if all five Kings hit on the ninth payline. Being a Scatter, the Jester does not need to land on an enabled payline in order to be in play. If two or more Jesters show on the screen a bonus credit is awarded, amounting up to 50 times the number of credits staked.

King Cashalot Treasure Bonus Round

King Cashalot Treasure Bonus Round

As for the bonus round, this is triggered when three Dragons hit on reels 2, 3 and 4. Called the Treasure Bonus, simply choose a treasure and it will reveal just how much extra you win (multiplied by the number of coins & paylines).

“Lord of the Rings” Trilogy to get Branded into Online Casino Slots

Lord of the Rings Video Slot Coming to a Microgaming Online Casino Near You!

Lord of the Rings Video Slot Coming to a Microgaming Online Casino Near You!

Microgaming’s online casino software platform has long been valued for the sheer number and diversity of casino games in its portfolio. Offering more titles than any other top-shelf (or low-shelf for that matter) casino software developer in business today, Microgaming has never been one to get overly creative with their games. And not that their slots have been anything short of creatively themed and highly innovative, Microgaming has simply ceased from going to the extent that two of its closest rivals – Cryptologic and Playtech – have gone in acquiring licensing rights to develop new slots titles named after popular titles in the entertainment world.

For example, Cryptologic has licensing rights for the Marvel Superhero Comics, DC Comics and Warner Brothers movie titles, including “Braveheart” and “Forrest Gump”, while Playtech more recently acquired the same rights to brand Marvels comic heroes in light of Cryptologic’s enormous success with this series. Granted, Microgaming has licensed the wildly popular Lara Croft Tomb Raider slot (Part I & II), and “Hitman” – both of which started off as movie titles and were consequently branded into popular video games – yet, Microgaming has never really ventured into the world of movies and comics. That is until now.

Microgaming has just announced they have signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Warner Brothers Digital Distribution to brand the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy into a slot machine series. If you’re thinking what I’m thinking, then yes, this is a HUGE deal. There is no denying the enormous worldwide popularity of the Lord of the Rings movies (not to mention the book). Having been nominated for 30 Academy Awards, and winning over half that, including the most esteemed of all – “Best Picture” – Lord of the Rings has an enormous fan base, 97% brand awareness and sky-high DVD rental revenues.

And let’s face it. It’s a fantastic story line perfect for online casino slots entertainment. And when I say fantastic, I mean to allude to the rich fantasy world in Lord of the Rings, which gives an added dimension of entertainment value that, quite frankly, many online slots are lacking. There are so many rich characters and storylines within this surreal fantasy world, there is huge potential to churn out a slot machine like no other – even blowing away Rival Gaming’s innovative I-slots.

I honestly truly hope that Microgaming doesn’t screw this up by slapping up some Lord of the Ring character symbols and a simplistic bonus round on the screen, but rather take their time and commit more resources to developing a top notch game with as much emphasis on the storyline and entertainment value as the gambling. Considering Microgaming’s track record, I have faith they will come through. They simply have to.

In the meantime, Microgaming continues to keep up their reputation as the most prolific online casino games developer today, launching a new set of three or more games each month (mainly slots). This month, the latest batch of new games include three new online video slots, including the timely “Winter Gold” (themed after the Winter Olympics) and Love Potion (lest you forget that Valentine’s Day is around the corner).
