Casino Meister Online Gambling Portal Bought by California Gambling Control Commission

1 April 2010 by Devon Chappell

Oh where, oh where has Casino Meister gone, oh where, oh where could he be? To the pub? Nope. How about a football match? Try again. Victoria’s Secret Spring Gala? Eh, wrong again. Wait I got it – Prison? No, not this time. On second thought, I’m just going to tell you, because well, you’re never going to guess. How does the California Gambling Control Commission sound? Sure, at least it’s related to gambling. But, online gambling?

Here’s the thing. Casino Meister has just sent out a press release announcing he has sold his website,, for an undisclosed amount to the California Gambling Control Commission. I mean, as crazy as it sounds, it is Bryan Bailey’s home state and all. And, of course, we’re talking about Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who as you may know oversees the California Gambling Control Commission.

Bryan Bailey, who owns Casino Meister (well, at least until now), and who is….well….Casino Meister, said in a press release it was very tough coming to the decision to sell his online gambling portal and watchdog site. And, Max Drayman, who is the Casino Meister complaints manager, said he is actually looking forward to relocating his office to Southern California, which the tribal leaders of the Kumeyaay Indians gladly picked up the tab for.

In fact, the Kumeyaay Indians will be managing the Casino Meister website in the future and said that other than changing the accredited casinos list (this will understandably have to be updated to California licensed casinos), the website will be all business as usual. In terms of the Casino Meister forum, which is one of the most active online gambling forums on the Web, a few changes are being planned, including the addition of a “Spot the Walmart Shopper” and “Wine Cooler Party” sections.

Now, before this begins to sound even more ridiculous, let me just say, “Happy April Fool’s Day”. That’s right folks. Late last night, an email press release was circulated announcing the “news” of the Casino Meister buyout. I was so tired when I read it, it actually had me going for a second. And it was a even more ridiculous sounding than the above recounting. So, by the powers invested in OCS and by OCS, we do declare that the Best online gambling April Fool’s Day joke goes to none other than Casino Meister.

Can anyone confirm if the casinomeister website was really sold. I didn’t heard anything more from their newsletters and webcasts.
