Anyone who makes a living as an affiliate marketer in the online gambling industry certainly knows about, otherwise known as CAP. The largest directory of certified affiliate programs for reputable online casinos, CAP has even become a resource for players, and for that matter, players-turned-affiliates and affiliates-turned-players. Helping sustain and foster the delicate bridge that often exists between online casino operators and affiliates, CAP is responsible for keeping online casinos accountable.

An affiliate program is just a few degrees removal from the company that is benefitting from the traffic, no matter the industry. If a casino operator is not treating it’s players in good taste, is not operating in a responsible manner, or simply isn’t living up to best-practice industry standards, CAP is going to hear about it from the affiliates, who in turn, often hear it directly from the players. In some cases, affiliates may even be on the receiving end of some bad business with an online casino, firsthand.

It’s pretty common knowledge the iGaming industry is especially prone to shady dealings. I suppose you could say the entire internet is prone to shady dealings, and such is life. However, considering much of the industry is either under-regulated or not regulated whatsoever, it’s important for both players and affiliates to be on guard and constantly be engaging due diligence, whether it’s promoting a casino or signing up at an online casino to wager with. CAP represents a community gathering place for this to take place, not to mention the more obvious function of connecting affiliates with respectable online casino operators to do business with.

To make a  long story short, OCS is very pleased to be a member of CAP. We are also pleased that CAP has recently unveiled a new website, with a cleaner look, easier navigation, and a boost in content. Said content includes both industry news and educational articles for affiliates looking to improve their marketing performance, which is in addition to a very active forum where all sorts of “stuff” goes down. 🙂

One of our favorite CAP offerings these days is their Week-in-Review emails. It’s basically a newsletter containing links to the prior week’s daily articles. For example, the most recent Week-in-Review included marketing articles covering list-building and backlink strategy, as well as discussions involving the use of multiple internet browsers in managing and accessing affiliate programs, the opportunities arising from the upcoming fantasy Major League Baseball season, and more details about the upcoming iGaming Super Show in Dublin – billed as the Biggest iGaming Event of the Year.

So, here’s to CAP and to all the people who make it a respectable place and breeding ground for industry best-practice standards!
