September 15 - Yep, yep, it's that time again. We
got (we have.... whatever...English was never my strong
suit, which makes you wonder why I'm even writing this blog).
Anyways, we have some new online casino games from
Microgaming to report on - And guess what? I'm 'gonna report
'em whether you like it or not (Am I starting off to a
negatively sour blog entry or what?) I guess somebody had a
bad day. Or maybe it's just time for my drink. Yes, it's
time for my medic...I mean drink.
Well, there is actually no reason whatsoever to
be sour about these new games on Microgaming's Viper platform. Characteristic
with Microgaming's last game launch, this batch of casino games includes two
new online video slots and a video poker game. The two online slots represent
the best in large, Australian/American video slots, and are called "First Past
the Post" and "Sir Winsalot" (I'll let you guess their themes...okay, maybe
I'll tell you later). As for the video poker game, this is the second
installment of Microgaming's new "Level Up" series. This time around, it's
Deuces Wild who goes up another level.
The last of Microgaming's game releases, which
seemed like yesterday (actually, I think it was last month...maybe I shouldn't
have that drink after all...Oops. Too late, I'm already having it). Anywho, it
was "Jacks or Better" video poker that first ushered in the "level up" series.
Like I said, now it's "Deuces Wild", which is the logical choice, considering
that Deuces is almost as popular as Jacks or Better.
If you're unfamiliar with the "level up"
concept, it's essentially like a video game. The more levels you advance to
(there are 4 total), the greater the rewards, such as 8x multipliers. As with
most video pokers, there is a Gamble feature that will allow you to
double-or-nothing your winnings up to 3,200 credits. A single 52-card deck is
used, bet stakes range from .10 to 1, and a royal flush will payout 4,000
coins.
"First Past the Post" is not themed on posts. It
is actually themed on horseracing. Take in the sights and sounds of the
horsetrack with this sharply designed five-reel, 25-payline machine. There's
wilds and scatters, a gamble feature with up to 3,200 in extra winnings, a
chance to win up to 30 free spins, base winnings up to 10,000 and free spin
winnings up to 40,000.
"Sir Winsalot" is themed on the days of Camelot,
with knights, castles, and yes, beer and healthily endowed damsels. This slot
has 20 paylines, two different scatters, a 3x multiplier and a feature
offering up to 10 free spins. The second screen bonus round awards up to 6,000
extra coins, while the base game dishes out up to 25,000 and a whopping 75,000
with free spins. Bet stakes can get as low and high as they come, ranging from
0.01 to 25 per line.
