Wager Works Software has released a new online casino game
to the tune of "You ain't nothing but a hound dog". And you
better get your blue suede shoes on before you try spinning
the reels on this unique slot. How unique, you ask? Do I
really need to say? Well, just in case you haven't seen the
ghost of Elvis at your neighborhood 7 Eleven, uh yes, Wager
Works' latest slot is themed on the rock-star legend
himself.
In reality, the game is actually not that unique.
Called "Elvis" (go figure), the new online slot is based
on the brick 'n mortar casino prototype. For those of
you who are unfamiliar with Wager Works, they are owned
by International Gaming Technology, which is the largest
casino slot machine manufacturer in the world. Not only
does this give Wager Works the rights to make online
counterparts of all of IGT's uniquely branded games,
like Elvis, it gives Wager Works games immediate brand
recognition.
The online version of Elvis has been a long time in
the making. It was initially scheduled for release last
year, but developers wanted to make sure there were
absolutely no glitches in the reels or in the
accompanying songs played by the King himself.
Furthermore, there are multiple bonus features,
including an interactive bonus, multi-strike elements
paying up to 4x winnings. A lot of work to say the
least, the wait has apparently been worth it.
The two bonus rounds for Elvis are called
"Fan-O-Meter" and "Photo Memories". "Fan-O-Meter" is
engaged when three corresponding symbols show up
adjacent to the first three reels of a payline. The
interactive aspect is in choosing a television, after
which a clip is played showing Elvis do his thing in
front of adoring fans. The "Photo Memories" bonus round
consists of spinning a record to receive various awards,
including multiple spin winnings.
Ironically, if you reside in the U.S., you'll have to
settle for the land-based predecessor of the Elvis
online casino video slot. Wager Works currently does not
allow U.S. players to gamble at its online casinos,
which include Virgin Casino and Paddy Power. In fact,
Elvis is only available at Virgin Casino and
Paddy Power.
