July 9, 2008 - With Ireland now eyeing the prospects of online gambling regulation, the Ireland-based CryptoLogic and software developer subsidiary, WagerLogic, could soon find themselves in the heart of an online gaming epicenter. And not that Cryptologic isn't one of the core players in the industry already - instrumental in helping launch and shape the first online casinos in the 90's and now licensing some of the leading online casinos and all-in-one betting sites in the world. These include, Will Hill, Littlewoods, World Poker Tour, Playboy Gaming, Parbet, Bet Safe, BetJacks (see below) and the original UK online casino, InterCasino.

Even with their doors closed to the U.S. market (for the time being at least), Cryptologic has managed to do just fine for themselves (and their shareholders). Last month, they teamed up with BetJacks, licensing a full suite of downloadable and Flash online casino games and downloadable poker software - giving BetJack's the honorable title of being Ireland's first dedicated online betting platform.

Cryptologic has also been very busy developing new casino games, keeping up with the likes of Microgaming, who on the contrary, does permit many of it's online casino licensees to accept U.S. traffic in certain States. As for Cryptologic's latest game releases (hence the reason for righting this blog entry in the first place....shall we see just how distracted and off the topic I can really get?...Fine, I'll spare you), they include another addition to their popular and exclusive Marvel Superhero Slots series, and a patent-pending online video blackjack game.

The latest character to take shape in Cryptologic's Marvel Comics video slots is none other than one of the first Marvel legends - Sub-Mariner. Not sure how old you would have to be to remember Sub-Mariner, but the bottom line is that this cat is one hell of a diver - and pretty cool at that. The video slot consists of five reels and twenty-five paylines - complete with bonus rounds and all the other perks you would expect from this popular slots series. Themed around the underwater world of the Lost City of Atlantis, win up to 5,000 times your line bet when entering visually intense bonus rounds where Sub-Mariner fights off submarines and battleships to save Atlantis (and win some extra cash).

The second of Cryptologic's latest online casino games is none other than a 4 Deck Multi-Hand Video Blackjack game.
