May 31, 2009 -
Okay, so I have to get something off my chest. Don't worry -
it's not like a confession or anything - Or is that what
your really want? Ah yes, I know you're type -
Sitting there waiting to pounce on poor little Sweetie at
the moment he shows a glimmer of vulnerability - or should I
say, bribability. Wow! I didn't know "bribability" was even
a word! I mean, since spell-check says its a word, it
must be, right?
Anyways, before I go off on too much of a tangent (it's
inevitable I will be going off on some sort of tangent -
fair warning), let me just say that I don't know what this
whole "Twitter" thing is. I just don't get it. And I don't
get why so many people are using it. And maybe I'm just too
slow or something (or have had one too many beers), but to
me, Twitter seems like web communication fix for people with
Attention Deficit Disorder.
And it's not just people either - hence the reason this
post is in the bingo section of the OCC Gambling Blog to
begin with. Apparently, Littlewoods Bingo is now on Twitter.
I just read a press release stating something to this
effect. In addition to emails, newsletters, text messages, commercials,
advertisements and so on, Littlewoods is now "tweeting"
their way into people's lives.
Of course that doesn't mean you will get Littlewoods
Bingo tweets regardless if you want them or not. But, if you
do want to be kept tighter in the loop, so to speak, and
already happen to live your life via Twitter, well then, you
can opt to receive Littlewoods tweets and tweeters. By the
way, for anyone unfamiliar with Twiiter, it's like a text
messaging portal for computer user's. It allows you to
network, make shout outs and daily updates that anyone who
is following you on Twitter will be able to see. In other
words, it's a MySpace that let's everyone know about
everything you do from minute to minute (at your discretion,
of course).
Personally speaking (would you have it any other way),
I'll stick with my online casino email newsletters. I'm
sure, however, there are plenty of online bingo players
happy to see Littlewoods on Twitter. So, there you have it.
Go get your Littlewoods tweets all you bingo playing peeps!
